Pomp Hair. Are pastels the new neutrals?

Pomp Hair. Are pastels the new neutrals?
A 17th Century France inspired Salon design .

A Madame Pompadour inspired hair salon in the inner Melbourne suburb of Collingwood.  Designed by interior designers Set Square Studios, who are becoming a favourite amongst Comfortel for delivering on-trend salon spaces, Pomp Hair has been transformed into a cosy 17th Century French hair salon with modern curves and arches in their salon design.

Salon Design

In stark contrast to other salons, the palette embraces escapism in a colour-way. Taking cues from the vintage French era, this palette offers bold colour blocking with pale minty blues and egg shell combined with parquetry flooring, lush velvet drapes and custom powder coated steel salon mirror to create a space rich in texture and colour.

Salon Furniture

Organic shapes seem to be the key to the design, and to compliment the arched salon mirror, the popular Chloe Tan Salon Chair from Comfortel was chosen to complete the look.  Tan has never been as on-trend as at present. Forecasted at Milan Interior Design Trends as the colour to look out for in 2019, it goes perfectly with the French inspired colour palette to give it lighter, natural look.

The Hairdressing Basin Area Salon Design

One point of difference compared to traditional salons is the shampoo area focus. Located in the center of the salon, the raised platform features the Claire Hairdressing Basin surrounded by pale blue cabinetry and brass tapware.  This creates a series of smaller work zones, resulting in a salon that still feels intimate and activated at quiet times.

We love the different approach to Pomp Hair’s salon design, and we bet this salon will become a Pinterest favourite amongst salon interior enthusiasts.  So Pin Away!
